Girls For Tech 5.0

Girls For Tech is a remarkable initiative that aims to empower young girls who have no digital literacy skills. The programme, hosted by the Youth Development Centre, offers a four-day training course that covers the basics of computer use, such as Microsoft Office Suites, Computer Based Tests, Typing and Printing. The programme also exposes the girls to various career options and motivates them to pursue their aspirations.
The 5th edition of Girls For Tech was held from April 17 to April 21, 2023, and it was a huge success. A total of 24 girls participated in the programme and learned how to operate a computer with confidence and competence. They also had fun and made new friends along the way. The programme culminated with a lecture on career pathways, where the girls were encouraged to think creatively and explore different opportunities beyond the conventional white-collar jobs.
Girls For Tech is a shining example of how technology can transform lives and create positive social change. The programme not only equips the girls with valuable digital skills but inspires them to achieve their full potential and contribute to their communities.
