Farming with Swag
Farming with Swag is designed to introduce young people to attractive farming options in Nigeria as well as harnessing Agricultural Value Chain in Africa.
The maiden edition of Farming with Swag held on 23rd of February, 2022, featured four sessions using four seasoned facilitators provided by the Youth Development Centre. The sessions included Basics of Soilless Farming by Farmer Samson Ogbole, Aquarium Construction and Ornamental Fish Farming by Martins Adogbajale, Harnessing the Agricultural Value Chain for improved food system in Nigeria by Yetunde Agnes and Harnessing the Aquaculture Value chain by Sikemi Olabisi (The FarmLady).
The event was attended by secondary school students in agricultural clubs, existing and aspiring farmers, representatives from Agro Allied firms and several young people.
