The FADAMA GUYS (Graduate Unemployed Youths and Women Supports) project was implemented by the Federal Government of Nigeria (through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the World Bank. The YDC-OOPL worked with Aquatic Hub Afrique Network to implement the project in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Fifty young budding and existing business owners were trained in the agriculture valuer chain with a focus on aquaculture.
Participants underwent two weeks of intensive training on entrepreneurship including business plan development, accounting, and book-keeping. To access the funds, they developed and presented sustainable business plans to a jury of experts who reviewed and passed verdicts on their submissions.
